The Early Childhood Playgroup is gathering again every Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at the Burnsville Gym (on School Circle)  It is free sponsored Graham Children's Health Services.  There is no formal supervision, so parents are required to stay with their children.  It is a great opportunity to meet other young families in the community and take advantage of the indoor facilities during the winter months.

Toe River Project Access is looking for folks that are uninsured in Yancey County.  If you are between the ages of 18 and 65, need to see a doctor and can't afford to, call 828-766-1850 or 828-766-1852.  They have a grant that could be used to allow you to see a primary care doctor for as little as $15.

The Dig In Yancey Community Garden added hundreds of pounds of fresh food to the thousands of prepared meals and food boxes that were provided to families in Yancey County this year.
